True Manufacturing has announced a voluntary retrofit of starting components in a Secop compressor in certain True models. Because of our commitment to you, we are retrofitting the affected models. Please read this notice carefully and use the link below to determine if your product is affected.
Retrofit Reason
The reason for the retrofit is True has recently discovered that starting components on a Secop compressor in certain True models produced from November 1, 2017, through June 2020 may fail over time, setting off a sequence of events that can result in flames emanating from the base of the refrigerator. There have been no injuries reported.
Is your refrigerator included in the voluntary retrofit?
Locate your refrigerator’s serial number. Your serial number is typically located on the inside left wall of the product. Occasionally, the serial number is on the right inside the wall of the product.
